SPADE ROOT ELEVATORS

The Spade Root Elevators and Spade Root Forceps comprise the Root Tip Preservation Kit; the tips of all these instruments are identically shaped. In a situation where the root structure is firmly retained, the appropriate Spade Root Elevator can be worked vertically along the root, on opposite sides, to create two purchase points. Once space is created, the serrated beaks of the Spade Root Tip Forceps can then be easily inserted into the predefined space, without additional force, in order to firmly grasp the root structure for extraction. The broader grasping surface of the Root Tip Forceps allow for a very secure and firm grasp of the root, without bending or splaying of the beaks.
