Wedge Ridge Splitting Set

The Wedge Ridge Splitting Set incorporates two progressively tapered sets of wedges to prop open the thin lamellar bone. This allows for controlled ridge expansion and hands-free and precise expansion of the ridge during augmentation. The included Diamond Discs are used to make the initial cut along the crest. Bi-bevel Chisels are then used to advance the split apically with depth markings to ensure the proper depth is attained. Once cut, the wedges are inserted into the ridge to spread it open to the correct width. The areas between the bone can then be filled with grafting material, with additional graft material being placed once the wedges are removed.
